I have never been an advocate on subscription based music. I think it’s because I’d rather own songs/albums over having access to them. Music on iTunes is too cheap for me to want a subscription based service over owning the song. Plus, I really enjoy listening to music I’ve liked in the past, and subscription service doesn’t offer me an option to own.

Now, if iTunes decided to do a subscription service for film and tv show watching, I’d be all over that. I would love iTunes to do subscription based movie rentals. Vongo was a decent online downloading service, but lacked variety. I think iTunes currently owns the digital media downloading world, and subscription based service is something that definitely needs to be considered.
